Gaming Performance
-Dirt 2 was running at all High at 1600x900, also capable of running at 1920 x 1080 with a tad bit of lag.
-Mirrors edge was running at at Max resolution on all high as well.
-Crysis was running at 1280X720 on the custom graphics mod settings, capable of running at max resolution with some lag but it doesn't make the game unplayable.

Other thoughts on the Vaio: 14 inches and 5 pounds is perfect for me. Easy to carry around and the resolution is insane for 14 inches. The LED display makes the screen beautiful and colorful. In case you were wondering about the power, this laptop runs photoshop cs4 easily and sony vegas like a charm. It took around 7 minutes to render this 1 gig 720p video you are watching now.
The battery life is alright. The sony website claims 4 hours but you should get a bit less then that.

Laptop with NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M
The Nvidia GeForce GT 330M is the successor of the GT 230M and technically a faster clocked GT 240M (but it should still maintain the power envelope of the GT 230M as the naming suggests). Therefore, the GT330M is a mid-range laptop graphics card that offers DirectX 10.1 effects.

The performance of the GT 330M is similar to the GeForce GT 240M and therefore located in the range of the Mobility Radeon HD 4650. The card supports DirectX 10.1 and all the features of the GT 230M / 240M (as it is based on the same GT216 core). The modern ATI Radeon HD 5650 offers DirectX 11 effects and performs better.

Modern and demanding DirectX 10 and 11 games (like Crysis or Risen) can only be played fluently with medium detail settings and resolution settings. Less demanding games like Sims 3 run in high details and resolutions. See the gaming list below for detailed benchmarks.

Vaio cw27 Running GTA4

Here is the Sony Vaio CW27 running gta4.
I had the game running at medium settings and 720p which is fine. You CAN run the game with 1600 x 900 but youll feel some drops in fps at times.
